YES! Absolutely, 100%! This class was created with the absolute beginner in mind. We start from scratch, assuming zero prior experience. My passion is turning nervous beginners into confident bakers in just one session, sharing my 16 years of simplified techniques.
Sourdough seems like it takes FOREVER. I work 9-to-5, how can I possibly fit this in?
As someone who understands a busy schedule, I've specifically designed my methods to weave seamlessly into modern life. Forget being chained to your starter! I'll teach you the rhythm and techniques that require minimal 'active' time, fitting around your work & family commitment.
Will I actually learn to make that amazing, fluffy sourdough bread?
Our entire focus is on mastering the core techniques that lead DIRECTLY to that wonderfully tangy flavour, open, fluffy crumb, and gorgeous crust you're dreaming of. We'll cover starter vitality, handling dough with confidence, simple shaping, and my foolproof baking method.
Do I need loads of fancy, expensive equipment?
Not at all! I firmly believe amazing sourdough should be accessible to everyone. We'll be using standard kitchen equipment you likely already own. I’ll show you how to achieve fantastic results without breaking the bank on specialised gear.
What should I bring to the class?
Just bring your wonderful self, your curiosity, and your excitement to learn! We provide all ingredients and equipment needed for the class activities. A big Plastic tupperware is needed to bring back the Sourdough dough home to bake. An apron is handy if you have one, but totally optional.

Where exactly is the class held in Sydney? What about parking/transport?
The class is held at Ryde (New South Wales) nearby Midway shops. Parking: Ample FREE street parking is available. Public Transport: Metro, or Yellow Train. Take Bus 518 to stop at North Road after Watts Rd Bus stop.
What if I have an emergency or feel sick on the day of the class?
If an unforeseen emergency or illness prevents you from attending, please email us as soon as possible. We offer one opportunity to reschedule your class to the next available date, subject to availability. This must be arranged via email. Please note that bookings are non-refundable.
