What you'll do:
Kids will have fun and feel empowered to make functional objects in this pottery class! Adults can join this class too!
April School Holiday dates and times now listed!
Our 2-hour class will be taught by an experienced ceramics teacher and held at our ceramics studio in Drummoyne. Parents can join the class too as a separate booking. Kids need to be taller than 140 cm in order to reach the foot peddle on the pottery wheel.
The instructor will tailor the experience to the age and experience of each student. All students are welcome, whether they are experienced or complete beginners.
Participants will learn how to centre clay on the pottery wheel and shape the clay into a usable vessel. They can be creative and have fun in the process in a welcoming and cosy studio. They will receive clay and use our pottery tools.
Students will throw as many pieces as they can to really develop their skills. They can then choose which pieces they keep. The class includes two pieces and our team will finish each pot, have them fired twice and glazed. The pots will be ready for pick up about 4 weeks later. Kids can keep more than two pieces for a $10 per piece fee.
Sustainability is very important to us, so all unfired clay is reused and we recycle most of our water too.
You can use your $50 Creative Kids Voucher for a spot in this class. Once you have booked your spot, send the QR code image through in messages so we can process the voucher and your refund.
Please book the spot, paying the full class price. Then, email us with your child’s Creative Kids Voucher with QR code included.
Once your voucher is processed, you will be refunded $50 per spot.
Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 4 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
