Looking for unique Sydney activities? Join Tomato Art at our Burwood pottery studio and learn the art of wheel throwing.
This hands-on, beginner-friendly pottery workshop will see you making a unique ceramic piece to take home. The class runs for ninety minutes with a friendly instructor guiding you the whole way. You'll start with an introduction to pottery and the wheel before learning to throw a ceramic cup or bowl.
After class, your piece is dried and fired in our kiln, and is ready to pick up about 5 weeks later.
You'll go home more confident on the wheel, with the skills to keep your pottery journey going.
Good to know
Please take a photo of your work before you leave the studio — we use it to identify your piece at collection, so no photo means no collection.
We don't contact guests when pieces are ready, and our opening hours vary, so please message us before coming in.
Work is held at the studio for up to 4 months. After that it's discarded.
You can add an extra glazing or painting session after class for an additional fee.
