In an age of constant news updates, social media, and online content, it can be difficult to know what information to trust. Misinformation and fake news can create confusion, fear, and uncertainty within communities.
Think Before You Believe is an open, community-led consultation designed to help people better understand how misinformation spreads, how to identify trustworthy sources, and how to make informed decisions online. This is not a lecture — it’s a conversation where community voices are encouraged, respected, and heard.
The session will explore:
How fake news and misinformation circulate
Ways to identify credible and reliable information
Building trust in news and digital sources
Practical tips to stay safe and informed online
The event is free to attend, supports multiple languages, and can be joined online or in person.
